To get the electrons that have to be moved.
The amount of work required is set by Faraday's Law of electrolysis PLUS
the Ohmic conductivity losses PLUS the driver losses PLUS the terminal
overvoltage.
The latter of which GUARANTEES that electrolysis with stainless steel
terminals is utterly useless for bulk hydrogen energy.
