Why inductive power cable?
Why not a linear induction motor stator?
Frequency (and/or pole spacing) determines speed, lockstepping vehicle
speeds.
Following distances become a non issue allowing bumper to bumper @
highway speed.
Battery recharge from the motor/gen being driven by the motion of the
car as it is moved down the road.
Traffic control issues at rush hour exit backups would need resolution.
Staying in the lane and on the stator track (steering) issues would
need resolution. Turning out of the stator track removes the lockstep
speed control.
Lane control could be a wheeled guide rod in a 2 by 2 groove in the
road. The guide rod is attached to the steering drag link in the
manner of hay wagon tongues.
