You beat me to it. I was going to recommend the same thing. Put a spark tester in
series with the spark plug wire and see if the sparking quits when the engine dies.

I'm betting on a defective electronic ignition module. Something getting hot and
quitting. Second guess is something in the low oil shutdown circuit. Some Generacs
use an electronic module between the low oil sensor and the ignition module. If this
one has a module, it could be getting hot and going bad.

In any event, I'd concentrate on the electrical/electronics. Figure out if you're
losing spark and if you are, break things down to the simplest parts to diagnose.
Disconnect everything from the coil/electronic module and see if the engine runs
reliably. If it does, then re-connect ancillaries one at a time until you get
failure.
