We're the planet's biggest wastrels - period.
I'm in southern Canada and my home uses about double your electricity
even without central air cond. (about 17-20 kWhr per day)
plus an awful lot more energy in the form of propane - for heating,
hot water, and clothes dryer ...
I'd say we were about average or slightly better - in our household
conservation measures ... we use the clothes line; slowly converting
to CF and LED Christmas lights; etc
yet we are still wastrels when compared to Europe.
.... apologies to the planet .. our poor old planet.
.. last gasp is coming all too soon, methinks.
