I would be spending half that consumption on A/C taking out the rest
of the heat from it in my small 4800 sq. ft. Something is consuming
it, assuming your metering is correct.

BTW: I serviced electric meters for many years and they don't go
faster, if mechanical. If electronic, anything is possible.
