Once again, the national "discussion" will give far more credence to
the things that political hacks say than the things that the
scientists and engineers say. No level of national "discussion" will
overcome the legislative, regulatory, and political barriers that can
be thrown up by uneducated morons with political axes to grind. Sad
fact is... We're gonna die. We're gonna die because we are simply no
longer capable of taking effective productive action. We have
politicised too many science, engineering, and economic issues.
