Can't you just hear that typical Rightard excuse, "if they have nothing
to hide, then they have nothing to worry about"?

It starts with kids in school, where they are conditioned to mindlessly
conform to authority, and to routinely submit to random searches and
give up bodily samples for testing at the whim of the school
authorities, without proper cause, due process, or even suspicion, as a
predicate.

They are also taught that power is to be wielded blindly and
arbitrarily, without any need for fundamental fairness, discretion or
rational judgment, as when school officials abdicate their
responsibility to exercise sound individual judgment in dealing with
children by adopting so-called "zero tolerance" policies that treat a
teenage girl who gives a friend a Mydol for her painful cramps exactly
the same as a teenage dope dealer caught with hundreds of doses of
crystal meth packaged for individual sale.

The Authoritarians and Fascists in America today know that the sheeple
need to be conditioned early to conform to and not question authority.
Also, they must never learn about the rights they used to have. "No
Child Left Behind" has been hugely successful, at least in forcing
civics education out of schools.
