When I was in the Army in Vietnam in 1964, one of the guys in one of our
little base camps got very sick on something he had eaten, he was about
to burned a tree the fire went out he scraped off
the charcoal and fixed up a canteen half and half of charcoal and water
and made the sick guy drnk that, then he fixed up another canteen of
half and half charcoal and water and made him drink wasen't long
before the sick guy had to take a poop and then he was feeling much
better.

In November 1999 just before the Y2K, I went to the Forestry Supply
store and I paid $ for a small portable Katadyn water
haven't had to use it yet, but I figure it's a good thing to have
anyway, just in case.
