Or more dramatic: birds only made blind by crossing the
hot beam flying mad until crashing randomly. Or just
unable to fly straight due to some burned feathers.

And who wonders about the flying insects that will probably
disappear from the area.

Will wild life be allowed to live in the area? In example,
dears with their antlers could dammage trough reflectors if
not set high enough.

Will vegetation be allowed to grow?

In 1982, Pierre Boule, the autor of
"The Bridge over the Kwai River", wrote a ironical *novel*
("Mirrors of the Sun", "Miroitements" in french) about
a solar power plant which led to ecological disasters,
covered up, ...
