I'd just point out that they use waste heat form the exhaust in order to get
temperatures significantly above the boiling point. To get 550C (1022F) as
the article claims, means a lot from the exhaust and darn little from the
cooling water jacket. The article is dated 2005 as a 'concept'. Any idea
if it's gone any further than that?

The OP is trying to use 212 degree F water from the engine's cooling water
jacket alone. Not gonna happen...
