It's supply and demand, driven in no small part by
the seasonal demand for heating oil. Here and now,
diesel is about $ while gasoline is about $.
Over the course of the last 14 months, it's been up
and down; at some point (last spring, IIRC) costing
LESS per gallon than gasoline for three or four months.
Most of that time, the per therm cost has been
significantly lower for diesel than for gasoline.
("Here" is northern NH, BTW.)
