I think the axle limit is 22,000 pounds, so a dual tandem
tractor with a dual tandem trailer must be about 55 tons.
But there are dump trucks with extra axles, and a lot of
big trucks and trailers with extra trailers.
I bought an old 1987 Alfa Romeo (75 in Britain) to put
racing stickers on (it is a race car, sorta), but was too terrified
to drive it on the single highway from here to anywhere.
If a lot of quaint old English style roads were built,
we could all drive light weight cars and scooters.
