But the kWh is the same either way.
It's actually advantageous to connect them in series, since for any given power,
it takes less amps at a higher voltage (series connection) to provide it and that
means you can use thinner (cheaper, more flexible, lighter) wires. Also,
semiconductor controllers are more suited to working at moderate voltage and 100s
of amps rather than thousands of amps at low voltage.
