The assessment of the windspeed is only one factor
You could how-ever do a short test using an annemometer that is offered on
ebay that hooks up to your pc this will create a data logger ( have Done it
it costs $ us) the longer the log the better
then you look for the wind speed data at the nearest airport or weather
station and crossreferance the two. this will give you a close estamate of
yearly wind speed but wind is localised. also the annemometer should be at
the hight of your proposed wind turbine. there should be no trees or
buildings within 50 feet of hight and 100 feet of location to prevent wind
shadow
