Bottom line: Faraday's Law ain't broke.

Electrolysis is inherently useless for bulk hydrogen because of its
staggering loss of exergy. There ALWAYS will be more intelligent things
to do with high value electricity ( such as grid, wind, or solar ) than
instantly and irreversibly destroying most of its value.
