A simple coil which is part of a tuned circuit can contain a plasma (there
is no force along the axis so it won't get sqeezed out) and once the plasma
starts fusion reactions the plasma expands against the containment and
induces a current in the coil.
When the coil is in a tuned circuit the oscillations are maintained by this
cycle of compression, ignition and expansion the tuned circuit acts like the
flywheel on an ic engine.
Thus ac power may be extracted.
The mean free path of an ion depends on the pressure at low pressures this
in much longer than at high pressures.
In an electric field an ion pickes up energy from the field and the longer
it can fly before hitting another ion the higher the energy it can aquire.
This means that the probability of the enegy being sufficient to overcome
the energy barrier (due to the coloumb force) is greater. There is a tunnel
effect which simply means that at low energy the probablity of fusion is
lower than at high energies.
Now at very low pressures the mean free path can be meters so if the coil
has 80 volts per turn and each turn has a length of mm as it has near
the axis then the field strength is 80/005 V/meter or 16000 volts/meter at
smaller diameters the field strength is higher and rises as 1/r from the
axis. As r>0 this > infinity making ion energies very high. When the energy
is high enough the frequency of fusion as a result of ion collissions
increases.
That is how a coil can start fusion reactions in a hydrogen plasma.
The method I am outlining for containment using radio frequency currents in
a coil wound round a tube of hydrogen is not a magnetic bottle. This ions
are forced to the axis by radiation pressure from photons emitted by the
wire in the coil.
Magnetic fields do not exists they are instead a manifestation of the lerenz
force caused by the apparent length contraction of the fixed charges vis the
drifting electrons in conductors carrying current.
There is no need of a doghtnut tube and windings as the photons exert
presure towards the axis and there is no force along the axis. At low
pressure diffusion rules and there will only be a small drift along the
axis.
The use a high dc currents in the plasma along the axis is wrong too, in the
configuration I suggest the movements is in arcs around the axis and close
to the axis.
Since the area gets smaller but the force due to photon collision remains
constant the pressure rises as the axis is as 1/r where r is the radius of
the arc from the axis.
As the value of r approaches 0 the pressure rises to infinity.
These two things (the energy increasing as 1/r and the prssure increasing by
1/r) mean that the region near the axis is correct for fusion reactions to
occur with effective temperatures of 200 MK and presures of thousands of
atmospheres. These are the right conditions for fusion to occur at a useful
rate.
Most free energy devices that seem to work are variations on a coil of wire
wound on to a glass vessel containing low pressure air or hydrogen.
I maintain that these are fusion energy devices and that their energy comes
from the fusion of light nuclei using the mechanism I have outlined already.
This includes my thermonuclear reactor, the Tesla power engine and the
Stoerne free enegy device. I have heard others descibed. My freinds have
made similar devices and have ended up in the shrink house. I have just been
discharged from one having failed to make my device work.
I've ordered some more lower presure hydrogen tubes to see if I can ionise
this with the limited means I have here. I will then see if I can get any
power out of it.
